Software quality measurement is important for evaluating whether a software product satisfies user expectations, technical requirements, and operational needs. The ISO 9126 quality model provides a structured framework for assessing software quality through major characteristics such as functionality, reliability, usability, efficiency, maintainability, and portability. Traditional quality evaluation may focus only on defect counts or testing results, but this approach may not fully capture broader quality dimensions such as user satisfaction, performance behavior, adaptability, and ease of modification. This article focuses on software quality measurement using the ISO 9126 quality model by examining how each quality characteristic can be translated into measurable indicators and applied during software evaluation. The study discusses how ISO 9126-based assessment can support quality planning, product comparison, defect prevention, and continuous improvement. The article concludes that ISO 9126 provides a practical basis for systematic software quality measurement, helping development teams improve reliability, usability, maintainability, and overall product performance.
