Abstract

Reliability analysis is important in client-server software systems because application stability depends on the correct interaction between client interfaces, server logic, databases, network communication, authentication services, and external APIs. Client-server systems often face failures caused by server overload, connection timeout, session loss, database transaction errors, request handling delays, and inconsistent data exchange between client and server layers. Traditional quality evaluation may confirm functional correctness, but it may not fully measure failure frequency, recovery behavior, availability, response consistency, and long-term operational dependability. This article focuses on reliability analysis of client-server software systems by examining failure rate, mean time between failures, mean time to repair, transaction success ratio, server availability, error logs, and recovery performance. The study discusses how structured reliability analysis can identify unstable components, improve fault handling, support performance tuning, and strengthen system monitoring. The article concludes that effective reliability analysis can reduce service disruption, improve user confidence, support continuous operation, and enhance the overall quality of client-server software systems.
